Welcome to Eastbourne Archers
Based at the Langney Sports Club, Eastbourne, East Sussex we have the benefit of a dedicated archery ground and the use of the
sports club facilities.
We are mainly a target club but shoot a
field round once a month and an occasional
clout.
If you are hoping to take up archery as a sport you will need a beginners course so look through the various
pages under the Information button.
If you are an established archer looking for a club in the area first browse through the site and then
contact the membership secretary.
The
current shooting programme is available as a download as are the club rules,
etc.

A cautionary tale
Several of our archers attended the British Barebow Championship held in Essex, most of the attendee's turned up dressed in
greens and club colours. As they should.
Unfortunately our friend Richard Miller had worn blue jeans, this is still a big no no, and was promptly told he could not
shoot.
So we began asking other archers for help for some appropriate attire that would be acceptable to the judges.
Up pops Wendy who said: "I've got some black tights in the car!"
Blue jeans are not allowed, but nobody challenges a large man in tights shooting a bow.
Thanks to Derek Christie for the photo and to Richard for being a good sport for allowing us to publish it.
